I really love photography. I have to admit, though, I’m not great at it. Actually, let me rephrase that. I want to be better at it. So I have decided that I will start saving money wherever I can in order to buy a good camera. the camera I have now will take a good shot once in awhile, but for the most part everything comes out blurred. (HP is horrible!) Also, while I save my pennies I will try to take pictures everyday. I used to photograph everything when I lived with my parents. We lived in a beautiful 1860’s farmhouse on 100 acres of land, that backed on to a conservation area. There were photographic opportunities galore. I had a nice camera and time to explore. But since I moved out on my own three years ago and started working full time, my passion for the creative aspects of my life seemed to dwindle. I let the pressures of the world get to me and the things I really loved fell by the wayside. But since I lost my horrible job in May I have been percolating new ideas, and getting my life in order. I bought a sewing machine in February and just last week I finally brought it to my parent’s house so my Mom could show me how to set it up. I want to make bags and clothing. I bought an Amy Butler pattern so I will also bring that home and get Mom to help me decipher it. I know once I get started, I steamroll through projects and am always satisfied that I accomplished something.
So while I have a break from work (although it won’t last much longer) I am going to make the best of my time. I am going to take up photography again. I am going to sew up a storm. I’m going to recapture the creativity I have stifled for too long.
I’m not sure what these little buds will turn out to be, but they are pretty.
I think these are lupin. I’ll have to look in my flower book.
The neighbour behind me has the most beautiful clematis plants growing along the fence. They have snuck through the fence to my side, and it always makes me smile to walk by them on my way out.
I have horrible, wide feet and thick ankles. But I always feel better about my feet as soon as I slip on my leopard print flats.
